Both local and overseas are the focus of the show, and two different trend forums are set up for different markets. Overview

The 2018/19 Shanghai International Textile Fabric Fair brought together 4,500 exhibitors from 32 different countries and regions, reflecting its international reputation and influence.

Both local and overseas are the focus of the show, and two different trend forums are set up for different markets. The Trend Development Forum organized by Nelly Rodi Agency highlights three key themes: origin, willingness and subversion, all of which are the focus of attention in the international market. In addition, the China Fabric Trends Forum focused on guiding the trend of local fabrics for suits, women's wear and accessories in the next season, and was divided into four different themes - rejuvenate, return to original, regain control and return to the future.

The event’s emphasis on practicality and environmental protection is reflected in its practical laboratory, where exhibitors find the latest fabric innovations in various fields from a range of Asian fabric brands, especially new fiber R&D.

Theme: One of the primary themes for the winter/winter season of 2018/19 is the response to technology and demand for the purpose of establishing a humanistic connection. As consumer awareness becomes stronger and stronger, the fashion industry has also begun to realize the importance of establishing a harmonious relationship between the earth and human beings, and has actively researched and developed new results to meet the trend requirements. From yarn suppliers to production plants, the entire apparel industry is striving to meet consumer needs and adopt environmentally-friendly design methods.

Comfort & tactility: Lightweight and luxurious high-grade fibers such as alpaca, cashmere and mohair are ideal for outerwear, in stark contrast to faux fur and svelte brushed velvet.

Three-dimensional surface: Tactile fabrics with shrink, embossing, pleating and two-layer structure are the most suitable for creating women's wear, outerwear and casual wear.

Exquisite Tweed: The eye-catching color greatly enhances the visual appeal of classic tweed and irregular woven patterns. Most of these fabrics are made from a mixture of recycled and innovative yarn fabrics.

Silk Gloss: The smooth and smooth drape effect of silk made of jersey and woven fabrics has once again become popular. It infuses ladies and evening wear in 2018/19 with a touch of elegance and personality.

The smooth silk feel fabric rendered in pastel colors is a must-have for women's evening wear and lingerie for the 2018/19 fall/winter period. Silk, copper ammonia, and rayon can give fabrics a luxurious feel. The blended fabrics create a pendant effect. Sateen weaving presents a high gloss and polishing effect; plain weave features a matte and soft luster, and a supple hand feel makes it an ideal fabric choice for underwear category.

Telescopic woven and knit structures give the surface a more three-dimensional feel and a sense of originality. The ultra-light, breathable nylon see-spun see-through yarn and the uneven surface seersucker have been specially treated to make them feel harder and more durable. The heavy nylon version made with technical elastic fibers is a must for ski and functional outerwear.

Exquisitely corrugated textured fabrics appear on the surface in the winter and winter of 2018/19, and weaving and pleating can create this effect. Adhesive coating and three-dimensional overprinting greatly enhance its durability and surface layering, making it the most attractive for the young market.

Metal fabrics play an extremely important role in winter and winter of 2018/19.
